The temple Rokkakudo ( or Choho-ji) was founded in 587 by Prince Shotoku Taishi. The Main Hall is hexagonally-shaped('Rokkaku' means hexagon) and houses a statue of the Nyoirin Kannon (Bodhisattva of Mercy). The building is from 1877.
